At the end of the day you have to do it yourself

Good Morning Beautiful You.

You may have been wondering where I’ve been. You were introduced to JoSundberg.com with a flurry of journal posts and then nothing – for weeks. I’m sorry. I have been thinking of you day and night. ❤️

It’s just that after the soft launch of my business, the Exciting “Going Live” part, I needed to put my attention on other things, like setting up a new home for Harry, Eva and myself. I’ve been working on this new adventure into Tiny Home living for many months now. Yes Tiny Home Living. You know, because I just LOVE getting outside of my comfort zone! 🤪 I was working on this project alongside setting up my business and website. One can only do so much at once though. Hence me disappearing from this page for a bit to focus my energies on …. composting toilets and other new delights….. More on this Big Tiny adventure in upcoming blogs. It’s scary and exciting, exhausting and energising. It’s one of the biggest new things I’ve ever done. And like all new things that we feel we CAN’T DO but find that we CAN DO – its incredibly empowering. Dealing with this challenge has required me to bring out every tool in my tool box to keep my heart open, my mind focussed rather than fearful, and my eyes looking ahead to the bigger picture. It’s been a huge test in everything I aspire to represent in my work and my life. There is no greater teacher than Life. We are all learning every day.

The other reason you haven’t seen me writing here is that I’ve been a bit hesitant, a bit uncomfortable with the next step, to be honest. No longer am I just having fun writing and choosing pretty pictures from my iphone collection. No longer can I just send my website developer the content and then get them to do all the fancy techy editing. Now it’s up to me to do the formatting. All that “back end” stuff is about as uncomfortable for me as working out how to manage solar battery power after 2 weeks of Wānaka’s Famous Inversion. Oh it’s all very well having someone hold your hand in the set up stage of a website. But what happens when it’s time for them to let go? I must make it clear that DonebyNine equipped me with wonderful videos, emails and words of support to do this next stage. Gosh how quickly those 30 somethings move that mouse around when demonstrating an editing technique. And oh how quickly they talk and explain things that must seem so obvious to the “younger generation.” I think I have watched the 5 minute video about 100 times pausing it after every 10 seconds to take it all in.

So it’s all up to me now. Therefore apologies if my formatting isn’t as fancy and things are a little bit out of place. Instead of putting this off any longer I am going to take a big deep breath and face that fear with just one step, and then another, and then here we go, this is what I have created. 😄. There is no better way to increase your confidence than by doing the thing you fear.

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful week. 🌟 Go shine your light.

ps I still write every day even if you don’t see it here in this journal. I write for myself in all my top secret journals ( the black leather one, the purple one with mandalas, the list is endless) and I also write in other spaces such as Raw and Unfiltered on Substack. My next challenge is to set up my business social media and you will find some of my writing there too.
Writing is one of the main ways I process life – all the joys and the challenges. It’s so important to find something that lights you up creatively. What area do you shine your light?
Cooking, painting, gardening, music, dance? I’d love to hear.

In case you’re curious, I chose not to take up ski racing as a profession.

And last but not least song of the day! ENERGY – Disclosure
